Welcome to ScriptHouse. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“you”, “your”, or “User”) and Joris Timmer, operating ScriptHouse as a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered in the Netherlands (“ScriptHouse”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
These Terms govern your access to and use of the ScriptHouse platform located at scripthouse.io, including all related software, content, features, and services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, accessing the Service, or using the Service in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or enter into a paid subscription with ScriptHouse. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older, or that a parent or legal guardian is acting as the contracting party on your behalf and accepts these Terms in full on your behalf.
If you are using ScriptHouse on behalf of a business, organisation, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. ScriptHouse is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account.
You are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide during account creation and use of the Service is accurate, current, and complete.
ScriptHouse is a software-as-a-service platform that assists creators and brands with content strategy, video idea generation, script writing, content briefings, feedback, and publishing planning. The Service combines AI-generated outputs with curated knowledge bases and frameworks.
ScriptHouse is a creative and strategic productivity tool. It is not a marketing agency, legal advisor, financial advisor, business consultant, or professional service provider, and nothing in the Service constitutes professional advice of any kind.
ScriptHouse offers four subscription tiers: Starter (free), Basic (€37 per month), Pro (€127 per month, with a launch-month promotional price of €67), and Premium (available by invitation only). Plan features and usage limits are described on the pricing page and may be updated from time to time.
All prices are exclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes. Applicable VAT is added at checkout based on your billing location and tax status. For eligible EU business customers with a valid VAT identification number, reverse-charge rules may apply.
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us, through Stripe, to charge your selected payment method on each renewal date. Subscriptions automatically renew each month unless cancelled before the next billing date.
If a payment fails, we may retry the charge, suspend your access, or terminate your subscription at our discretion.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period, after which your account reverts to the free Starter tier. Previously generated content remains accessible in a read-only state.
All subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds, partial refunds, or credits for any reason, including but not limited to: unused portions of a billing period, mid-period cancellations, plan downgrades, periods of non-use, dissatisfaction with generated outputs, perceived underperformance of content, or changes to features or plan structures. This non-refund policy applies to all tiers, including Premium.
Refunds may be issued solely at our discretion in exceptional circumstances such as documented service failures attributable to ScriptHouse.
Content generated by ScriptHouse specifically for your brand, including content strategies, video ideas, scripts, feedback reports, and briefings (collectively, “Generated Content”), may be used by you for your own brand, business, and commercial purposes, subject to the restrictions in this section and the Acceptable Use section.
You may not: (a) resell, redistribute, sublicense, or republish Generated Content as a standalone product or service; (b) use Generated Content to train competing AI models; or (c) present Generated Content as an output of a competing service.
The above restriction in subsection (a) does not apply when Generated Content is incorporated into broader services you provide to your own clients (for example, content agencies producing content for client brands). In that case, Generated Content is treated as part of your work product.
ScriptHouse retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all underlying software, models, prompts, frameworks, knowledge bases, training data, methodologies, and any improvements or derivatives thereof. No license is granted to you in respect of these underlying assets except as expressly stated in these Terms.
You expressly acknowledge and agree that the nature of the Service involves the generation, suggestion, and distribution of content ideas, scripts, hooks, formats, concepts, and other outputs that may be similar, related, overlapping, or in some cases substantially identical across multiple users of the Service, particularly users operating within the same or adjacent niches, industries, or audience segments. This is by design and forms a core part of how the Service operates.
ScriptHouse may intentionally distribute the same or similar content ideas, scripts, or concepts to multiple users in order to: (a) create coordinated content trends across brand profiles within a niche; (b) amplify topical relevance for ideas that are timely or strategically important; (c) maintain consistency in how high-potential content opportunities are identified and surfaced; and (d) support broader pattern-based growth strategies across our user base.
You understand and agree that: (i) you are not granted any exclusivity, uniqueness guarantee, or right of first use over any Generated Content; (ii) other users may receive identical, similar, or overlapping content suggestions before, during, or after you; (iii) another user, brand, or creator may publish content based on a similar or identical idea, script, hook, format, or concept, and this does not constitute a breach of these Terms by ScriptHouse or any other user; (iv) ScriptHouse makes no representation or warranty that any Generated Content is unique to you, original, novel, or protected from being suggested to other users; (v) you bear sole responsibility for how you adapt, execute, edit, and publish any content, and you are free to modify Generated Content to suit your brand voice and audience; and (vi) any dispute, complaint, frustration, or claim arising from similarity between your content and another user’s content, or from perceived loss of competitive advantage due to such similarity, is not the responsibility of ScriptHouse.
If you require exclusive content, custom-generated outputs not shared with any other user, or any form of uniqueness guarantee, ScriptHouse in its standard form is not the appropriate service for you and you should not subscribe.
You retain ownership of all information you provide to ScriptHouse, including brand details, audience descriptions, business context, notes, uploads, and any content you submit to the Service (collectively, “User Content”).
By submitting User Content, you grant ScriptHouse a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, store, process, transmit, and display User Content solely to operate, maintain, improve, and provide the Service to you. This license includes the right to transmit your inputs to third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic via OpenRouter) as necessary to produce Generated Content for you.
We do not use your User Content to train external AI models for the benefit of third parties or to sell or share with third parties for unrelated purposes.
You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to submit User Content and that your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any applicable law.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without refund for any violation of this section, at our sole discretion.
The Service uses large language models and other artificial intelligence systems, including those provided by Anthropic and accessed via OpenRouter, to generate content. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, factual errors, outdated information, hallucinated references, biased framings, or unintended outputs. AI systems can produce confident-sounding outputs that are factually wrong.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, fact-checking, editing, and approving all Generated Content before publishing, sharing, using commercially, or otherwise relying on it. ScriptHouse does not pre-review, moderate, or approve Generated Content before it is delivered to you.
You acknowledge that AI outputs may inadvertently resemble existing third-party works. You are responsible for verifying that any content you publish does not infringe third-party intellectual property or rights.
ScriptHouse is not liable for any consequences arising from your use, publication, or reliance on Generated Content, including but not limited to reputational harm, legal action by third parties, platform takedowns, account suspensions on third-party platforms, audience response, or commercial outcomes.
Nothing provided by the Service constitutes legal, financial, tax, medical, psychological, business, marketing, or other professional advice. Generated Content, suggestions, frameworks, and recommendations are creative and strategic outputs intended to support your own decision-making. They are not professional recommendations and should not be relied upon as such.
You should consult qualified professionals before making decisions that may have legal, financial, or other significant consequences.
ScriptHouse makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee that your use of the Service will result in any specific outcome, including but not limited to: increased views, subscribers, followers, engagement, leads, customers, revenue, profit, brand growth, audience reach, virality, or business success.
Content performance depends on numerous factors outside our control, including but not limited to: your execution and production quality, platform algorithms, audience behaviour, competition, market timing, niche dynamics, and your own brand fundamentals. Past performance of any user, case study, or example is not indicative of future results.
You assume all risk associated with using the Service and the content produced through it.
The Service depends on third-party providers, including but not limited to: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic and OpenRouter (AI model access), Resend (transactional email), Google (email delivery), and others. Interruptions, errors, downtime, or changes in these third-party services may affect the availability or functionality of ScriptHouse.
ScriptHouse is not liable for any disruption, failure, data loss, or damage caused by third-party providers, even if such failures result in partial or complete unavailability of the Service.
Your interactions with any third-party platforms on which you publish content (including but not limited to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and Facebook) are governed by those platforms’ own terms. ScriptHouse is not a party to and has no responsibility for your relationship with such platforms.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of Generated Content complies with the terms of service, community guidelines, and policies of any third-party platform on which you publish, as well as all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to: advertising and consumer protection laws, disclosure requirements (such as FTC, ASA, or equivalent rules on sponsored content and AI-generated content disclosures), intellectual property laws, data protection laws, and tax laws.
ScriptHouse is not responsible for any account suspensions, content takedowns, demonetisations, legal claims, or penalties you incur as a result of publishing content that violates platform terms or applicable law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ScriptHouse and Joris Timmer, together with any contractors, agents, representatives, and successors, from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and legal costs) arising out of or related to:
This indemnification obligation survives the termination of your account and these Terms.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ScriptHouse expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:
No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from ScriptHouse or through the Service creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
(a) ScriptHouse and Joris Timmer shall not be liable to you or any third party for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: lost profits, lost revenue, lost business opportunities, lost savings, lost goodwill, reputational damage, lost data, costs of substitute services, damages resulting from content performance, audience response, platform algorithm changes, account suspensions on third-party platforms, similarity between your content and that of other users, or any other damages, regardless of the legal theory under which the claim is brought (including contract, tort, negligence, statute, or otherwise), and even if ScriptHouse has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
(b) The total aggregate liability of ScriptHouse and Joris Timmer to you, in respect of all claims arising out of or related to these Terms, the Service, or your use of the Service, shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by you to ScriptHouse in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
(c) The limitations set out in this section apply even if any remedy fails of its essential purpose.
(d) Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Dutch law.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account and access to the Service immediately, at our sole discretion, without prior notice and without refund, if: (a) you breach these Terms; (b) your account is involved in fraud, chargebacks, or abusive behaviour; (c) continued provision of the Service to you would expose ScriptHouse to legal, regulatory, financial, or operational risk; or (d) required to comply with applicable law or a request from law enforcement or a regulator.
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from your account settings. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. We may retain certain data after termination as required for legal, accounting, or operational reasons.
Upon termination of your account, all rights and licenses granted to you under these Terms cease, except that any provisions which by their nature should survive (including ownership, indemnification, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) shall survive.
ScriptHouse may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also add, remove, or change features, plan structures, pricing, usage limits, and integrations. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service or any feature.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you may cancel your subscription before they take effect.
ScriptHouse shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance arising from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, pandemics, government action, internet or network outages, cyberattacks, denial-of-service attacks, failures of third-party providers, power outages, or other events of force majeure.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or, if not possible, severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, to any successor or affiliate, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or restructuring.
Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and ScriptHouse regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications.
No Partnership. Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, joint venture, employment, agency, or franchise relationship between you and ScriptHouse.
Third-Party Rights. These Terms do not create any rights for any third party.
Language. These Terms are drafted in English. If translated into any other language, the English version shall prevail in case of any conflict.
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively before the competent courts of the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
